Your feedback about “old chat”
Since we notified players using the old chat style about its impending removal, we’ve seen some feedback on social media about the new chat style, primarily from Habbos who are still using the old one.
So, we’re currently exploring some changes to the current chat style to make it feel better for everyone, especially those who miss the older setup.
Personal preferences, not room settings
We’re looking into moving the chat settings out of room settings and turning them into personal preferences instead! That way, you can pick how your chat looks and behaves without depending on how someone else’s room is configured.
Fixing what’s clunky
Our team is also looking into the possibility of the following improvements:
- Adding mousewheel scrolling support (because yes, it should have that).
- Stopping the “Chat History” button from clicking on the chat bubble behind it.
- Fixing the bug that makes parts of the new chat history area unusable after closing it.
We’d like to emphasise that the above are improvements we are exploring, not firm commitments to actually making them. There may be unexpected issues we encounter that prevent us from making certain changes.
