The upcoming Habbo Collectibles zkEVM network switch
On Monday January 26th, we’re planning to begin the migration of Habbo Collectibles from Immutable X to Immutable zkEVM. We discussed this most recently in October – it will future-proof Habbo Collectibles and provide a range of benefits 🔧 Find out more about those benefits here.
We’ve got some additional information about this switch and how collectors in the Habbo community will be impacted, so let’s walk through it together!
✅ The most important thing: you don’t need to do anything
Your Collectibles in your MetaMask wallets and Collector Wallets will be migrated automatically. You don’t need to do anything to move your assets. Any Collectibles already placed in your rooms should stay exactly where they are, with no changes.
If you currently have funds within Immutable:

They will also be migrated automatically, but it could take some time for this to take place

Withdraw funds to Ethereum mainnet ahead of the switch OR,

You can also bridge tokens directly to zkEVM using the LayerSwap tool here

👷 Expected downtime (and what that means)
To make the switch safely, Collectibles functionality will need to go offline for a period of time. This downtime could last up to a week 🚨
During this window:

Collectibles features will temporarily stop working on our website and in-game

Functionality will be gradually restored as systems come back online

All listed Collectibles will be delisted, and you’ll need to relist them once the switch is complete
Even after everything is technically back up, there may be some early teething issues. We’re asking for a bit of patience as we monitor things closely and fix any issues as quickly as we can!
⚡ Covering our players’ gas fees
Most actions (aside from minting furni, for now) come with a small gas fee paid in IMX tokens.
To make things smoother – especially for collectors who don’t use the network often – we’re currently covering a limited number of these transactions each day for those who do not have any IMX tokens in their wallet. This support will stay in place indefinitely. If anything changes, we’ll let you know 🤝
Some further points about gas fees and IMX Tokens:

In-game trading does not require gas fees or IMX Tokens, but continues to require Silver.

Right now, Immutable is covering the gas fees for minting on zkEVM. This won’t be permanent, and at some point those fees will no longer be covered.

Transfers aren’t funded by us or Immutable.
🔃 Connecting your MetaMask wallet to zkEVM
After the switch, collectors will need to get used to moving between networks using their MetaMask wallet. zkEVM will be used for interacting with Regular Collectibles (furni, clothing etc), while Ethereum mainnet will continue to be used for Premium Collectibles (Habbo Avatars, Crafted Avatars, etc).
🛒 Today’s extended Collectibles Shop release
Today we’ll be releasing two new Action Figure Collectibles:
- Hologirl Action Figure
- Holoboy Action Figure
These will be available in the Shop until February 11th to account for any downtime collectors experience.
